Here’s a quick healthy recipy for breakfast with Sufalaam’s Mappillai samba red rice flakes
Ingredients:
- Mappillai Samba Red rice flakes – 200 gms
- 2 medium onions chopped fine
- 1 or 2 Green chillies chopped fine
- Grated coconut -1 cup
- 1 tablespoon oil
- Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
- Chana dal – I tblsp
- Urad dal – 1 tblsp
- Curry leaves
- Coriander leaves – chopped fine
- Brown sugar – 2 tsps
- Salt to taste
Instructions:
Wash the Mappillai samba red rice flakes and soak in water for 10 -15 minutes till it is soft. Squeeze the water and keep aside.
In a kadai, heat oil, season with mustard, urad and Chana dal, then add curry leaves, green chillies, onions, and then the rice flakes. Add grated coconut, salt and sugar and sauté for a few minutes . Garnish with coriander and serve .
