While this choice is not specifically offered on our website, please feel free to contact us if you have a preference. You will receive links/tracking number to track your package whether dispatched by courier or Speed Post.

At the moment, we are charging a fixed handling and packaging fee as well as courier/postage costs. These can change at any time and will be reflected on the website.

While every care is taken to pack the items you order with care, your package will be dispatched at your own risk. We take special care to protect fragile objects, using bubble wrap and appropriately sized boxes for shipments in which your items are well-protected.

If you have any complaint about the quality of the product, please email us  at <[email protected]>.

We will accept returns within a week of purchase for all items EXCEPT seasonal offerings.    Returns have to include a substantial quantity of the product in its original packaging .   The product will either be replaced or the money refunded to the customer.

We will replace or refund wrongly sent items but there are a few broad exceptions and some basic information that we would like you to know:

Insects in rice and dals: We are a small business and packaging is done is small batches. Before packing rice, dal and other grains we ensure that it is as clean and free from grit as possible and certainly free of any insect infestation. Our products are not treated with chemicals and if not stored properly in dry and airtight conditions can attract weasels. If you are storing for a long time the best thing to do is to use traditional methods for storage like putting whole dried red chillies with rice and dals. For effective long duration storage it is also a good idea to put the grains out in the sun from time to time.

The storage suggestions apply to ALL rice and dal varieties that we are marketing.

While utmost care is taken in removing grit and impurities, we do suggest that the items are cleaned and washed thoroughly before cooking as is normally the case in most households.

Dehradun Basmati rice: This rice had been hybridised so much that it is near impossible to find the parent strain! We procure the most authentic that is available. Even so we have had friends and customers coming back to us to say that the grain is not long enough or that the rice is not as fragrant as they remember from childhood days! There is little we can do about this except assure you that it is from reliable sources and not from the mandi or open market and that it meets the criteria set by the Uttarakhand Organic Commodities Board and is free of harmful chemicals and additives.

Honey: Raw honey is straight from the hive and although sieved, has not been put through commercial processing procedures. It comes to you in its natural state retaining all the nutritional properties attributed to honey. Natural, pure, untreated, unpasteurised honey will always vary in taste, colour and viscosity and whichever kind of honey you order from us, it will not be the same every time.

Jaggery and jaggery powder: This can get mouldy if humidity gets into the storage container. It is a good idea to have these are aired out if you are storing for a long period of time.

Should you have any complaints, please inform us within 2-3 days of receiving your order. You may return the item after you hear from us. Where possible, we will replace the faulty item or give you a refund. However, the goods must be returned within 7 days of receiving the shipment.
